Best Golf Rangefinder For Under $100?

Golf can be expensive. It’s a sport where you can pay an almost unlimited amount of money for each piece of equipment. Golf rangefinders can run right around a hundred dollars up to six hundred dollars plus depending on the brand you buy. The question of the day is can you get a quality rangefinder for under $100?

Here’s where the Cigman T-1000 golf rangefinder enters into the conversation. Presently, it retails for under a $100 if you buy it direct from their website. It’s also available through Amazon for a few dollars more. Cigman’s goal is to be at that $100 price point and still provide golfers a quality rangefinder.

I had a chance to take the Cigman CT-1000 out to the course and give it a spin. I put my big name golf rangefinder down for the day and used the Cigman. It’s said that you only get one chance to make a good first impression.

Well, the Cigman CT-1000 makes a good one as it comes in premium packaging. Inside the package you get the CT-1000, a case to keep your rangefinder protected, wristband, and carabiner. It also comes with a charging cord. I was pleasantly surprised that it has an internal rechargeable battery. The rangefinder has a 20-second auto shut off. So, the charge provides a large volume of rounds on one charge.

The Cigman CT-1000 comes in at an entry level price point. Yet, it delivers some nice perks. Those include the already mentioned USB charging, slope measurement, pin capture vibration and a competition toggle switch to easily turn on or off slope measurement.

Nice Perks with the CT-1000

  • USB Charging
  • Slope measurement
  • Pin capture vibration
  • Toggle switch for slope for competition
  • Magnet for cart attachment

The rangefinder delivers precise measurements. It even provides yards or meters to a one decimal place. For me, I’d prefer a round-up or round down as my game is not that precise. I need to get into the instruction manual and see if that’s a feature I can dial back.

Is this the best golf rangefinder under $100? I can’t answer that as I’ve not tried them all. What I can tell you is the Cigman CT-1000 brings a lot of perks and features at an entry level price point. Plus, they even added a magnet so it can mount to the cart for quick yardage capture.
